Family Visits Tallahassee
Kyoung-Suk visits Tallahassee for the first time. We visited the botanical gardens at MaClay and captured some memories digitally. Karl's mom and Lee's family also visited and stayed over the weekend.

Tampa, FL
Young-Suk registered for a conference in Tampa, FL and was also presenting her research, being new to Florida, Karl and Jed decided to join and discover that part of Florida. With work paying for the accommodations it was an easy decision. While Young-Suk was busy with the conference, we strolled over to the Aquarium, lounged at the hotel, and enjoyed sunset while viewing the beauty of the bay.

Alfredo Parkway
It was a beautiful afternoon, after church, we decided to head on over to Alfredo Parkway. The grass was lush and it was green as far as you can see. It's an amazing view! We still had the Element back then, allowing us to enjoy the warm breeze with doors wide open on both sides.

Daegu, Korea
It was our first trip back to Korea as a family (and not just a married couple). The flight went surprisingly smooth as Jed slept through the entire flight and flight attendants could not take their hands off him (such a cutie!) Jed along with Karl enjoyed strawberries that were hand picked. These strawberries were a lot smaller than ones in the wholesale but were oh so sweet. During our week stay, we partook in a scenic country tour of Daegu, visiting historical tombs, palace, and aerospace site. It was a great time with family and introducing Jed to Korea.

Elmo
This is the time to be creative as Jed will not object. Some shots taken with him wearing an Elmo diaper as a cap - pretty sporty don't you think? The cap provided a comfort band and strategically placed air vents. Unfortunately, this cap is only sold in bulk.

Jed's 1st Birthday
Someone turned one today - Jed's first birthday! Who says you need a cake. We made layered pancakes and decorated with Madellines cookies (the good Starbuck's kind.) Later that week, we flew to California to visit Karl's parents who planned a more grand party for Jed. Karl's cousins (from his mother side) were there, aunts, uncles, niece and nephews included. Elmo was the theme of the party. We also had someone who worked with balloons and face painting. The kids had great fun and food was good.

Jed's Baptism
Jed is baptized as a Roman Catholic in August 2008 at the Blessed Kateri Community of Faith in Southern California. Present that day were Karl's parents and a friend. A special private event just for Jed.

Maclay Gardens
One sunny day, perfect weather for photo shoot at Maclay Gardens with Jed sporting his hambok (a Korean traditional wear). Photographer: Caroline Ferguson.

First Family Photo
The first family photo had to be perfect. After reviewing photographers, we decided to settle with Cindy Strickland. Well worth the money considering that other establishments will not allow you to get digital copies. It was definitely a "Moment Captured."
