Getty Museum

Visited the Getty Museum on Saturday early morning just as they opened at 10 AM to avoid the crowds and it was the wisest decision as for when we were leaving at 1 PM the streets leading to the museum was jammed with cars and visitors. The grounds were pristine, the views were spectacular, and the environment overall was relaxing.
Joshua Tree National Park

Initially, the kids and I were not thrilled when Young announced a family trip to this national park. I mean, no Wi-Fi, a two and a half hour drive, and to where, a desert. However, all that quickly changed as we arrived. Free entrance, check. Hiking trails for beginners, check. Rock climbing, check. We got to explore, discover, learn, and just stop and admire the landscape. At the end of the day, being away from our electronics except for GPS was actually a good thing —it was liberating!
