Appa's Birthday
03.2013A surprise party for Daddy (okay, Daddy was in it with Mommy, but the kids were not). Young-Suk arrived from her D.C. trip on-time and did a fantastic job decorating the house before Daddy and the kids returned from their dinner at Cici's. The kids' expression from seeing Mommy home, the balloons, the cake, and party hats was truly the best gift. They were excited and happy just as I was on my 41st birthday.

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo
03.2013We visited Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo which is rated #1 in Child Magazine by parents across the nation and rightly so as the zoo catered to children from its animal exhibits, rides, to food fair. It was a perfect afternoon, not too crowded and the weather was in the low to mid 70s. We also discovered who will be riding roller coasters when the minimum required height is reached and who will be holding the bags and waiting for us at the exit...

Dinosaur World
03.2013During our family trip to Tampa, we visited Dinosaur World in Plant City. At first, we were not sure if it was worth the visit as the photos on their website look really dated and the reviews were mixed. However, am glad that we decided to visit as the place was amazing! Life sized dinosaurs, a huge playground, a museum with a few motorized dinosaurs that could scare your little ones (Priya will not be returning any time soon), and a fossil dig area. It was great end to our four day family trip to Tampa.

Easter Egg Hunt @ Myers Park
03.2013The kids partook in an annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the City of Tallahassee at Myers Park. The day was almost cancelled due to scattered thunderstorms. However, the showers stopped a few hours before the event. The prices and treats weren't that exciting as previous years' but the thrill of hunting eggs was quite fun –for the kids. Looking forward to next year!

HCES Pre-K3 Farm Day
10.2013Pre-K3 celebrated Farm Day at HCES. The kids performed songs and dances and then after had fun activities such as painting, sack races, and bean bag toss. They also enjoyed apples and carrots harvested from the garden which they 'farmed' early on this year.

Halloween
10.2013The kids' costume this year was a ninja complete with a katana and death stars. Trick or treatin' wasn't as exciting or fun this year we thought, compared to last year's. Lots of houses had their lights off. The kids collected more candy at school than in the neighborhood. But, it was still fun!

Magic Kingdom
12.2013Our family trip to Disney World less the strollers and diaper bag made our trip more enjoyable. The weather also played a part as it remained in the low 80s and it seemed that the parks were not as overly crowded as it was during our 2012 trip. We were actually able to ride all the rides that we wanted to ride with minimal wait times (except for Peter Pan which took a good 45 minutes).

Disney's Epcot
12.2013Our first family visit to Epcot. This park had less rides but more to see and taste. This is a larger park than Magic Kingdom and I think would be enjoyed more by teens and adults than little kids. We were fortunate enough that June and Priya made the minimum height requirement for Soarin' and the Dinosaur rides. The other rides' height requirement required at least 4 feet and since the park lacked in rides, the wait times were at least 60 minutes if not longer.
